5 Lessons Learnt Living in London

I’ve spent the first 3 years of my 20’s in London working, meeting new people and expanding my mind… With life moving at what only feels like 100mph, I’m taking this opportunity to stop time for a moment and reflect… When I think of London, I think of it as my home. Home is where you feel most like yourself and at ease. It’s a crazy city and not much of it is peaceful, but whenever I go away and come back to London, I feel content. Even if I’ve had an amazing holiday, knowing that I’ll be coming back to London makes me happy. So why do I love it so much? What have I learnt? 1. There are people on your wave length Where I lived before London, I had 0 friends that wanted the same things out of life as me. They say to surround yourself with people who inspire you and I feel like I did exactly that. Now I have a handful of wonderful people who I trust and can …

A Mini Break to Edinburgh

How deeply have I fallen in Love with Edinburgh? Enough to feel ‘Home Sick’ when returning to London… My recently journey through Edinburgh has been wonderful. Even though it’s a bustling little city with busy streets full of eager tourists & locals doing their Christmas shopping, it was somehow a very restful and humbling trip away. I was there for four days and whist travelling home late last night, I was already planning in my mind when I could next visit again. If you didn’t know, this is where J.K Rowling claims she wrote Harry Potter. So you can guess, much like I did that it would be full of tourists and very, very busy. So I skipped going …

Edinburgh Christmas Market

It’s beginning to look a lot like… Christmas Market adventuring!! This week I write to you from Edinburgh, a place I’ve wanted to visit for so long and now I’m finally here I can’t wait to explore. As it’s almost Christmas and I’m super eager, I head straight towards Edinburgh’s famous Christmas Market. Let’s start by saying, it’s the biggest Christmas market I have ever been to. But in all honesty it’s way more than just a market. The whole city centre is transformed into a winter wonderland. There’s ice skating at St Andrew Square, The Street of Light on George Street and the main event with fairground rides, foot-long bratwurst sausages and mulled wine at East Princes St Gardens. I really had to cut down the amount of photos I included in the blog post (believe it or not)… There were so many cute & unique stalls at Edinburgh’s Christmas, nothing like Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland… (sorry home town). This one below was my fave, completely over the top, just the way I like …
