5 Lessons Learnt Living in London

I’ve spent the first 3 years of my 20’s in London working, meeting new people and expanding my mind… With life moving at what only feels like 100mph, I’m taking this opportunity to stop time for a moment and reflect… When I think of London, I think of it as my home. Home is where you feel most like yourself and at ease. It’s a crazy city and not much of it is peaceful, but whenever I go away and come back to London, I feel content. Even if I’ve had an amazing holiday, knowing that I’ll be coming back to London makes me happy. So why do I love it so much? What have I learnt? 1. There are people on your wave length Where I lived before London, I had 0 friends that wanted the same things out of life as me. They say to surround yourself with people who inspire you and I feel like I did exactly that. Now I have a handful of wonderful people who I trust and can …

O.O.T.D Finding Your Everyday Style

Jeans | Black hoodie | Trainers | Backpack For me? Denim always has to be involved and a good pair of sneakers… If you’re one of those people who has a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear.. you haven’t quite found your everyday style. For me, choosing my outfit for the day is the easiest part of my morning routine! I would say when it comes to fashion I’m a minimalist. I don’t like to mix things up too much and I stick firmly with what I know I like. All I need is a good pair of jeans, some converse or comfy trainers & a plain top with no fancy frills or designs. I usually opt for black, khaki green, navy or white. For easy outfit organising, follow these tips! clear out your wardrobe, get rid of anything you haven’t worn in the last year! Find colours that suite you really well for me it’s navy blue and white Create a uniform you love, then play with the formula I do this …

Saying Yes to Life

In the last few weeks,  my life has taken a dramatic turn around and it’s all down to changing my mind set on one word… Yes! I’ve knows for a long time now that saying ‘no’ is a safe answer, it means that you can safely head home, order a pizza and watch a whole series on Netflix, it means that you keep your satisfactory 9-5 job and safely pay your bills on time. It means you’ll be in a place where no one can hurt you or say anything mean… When you’re saying ‘no’, you’re staying within your comfort zone… “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone” – Neale Donald Walsch For example, was I in my comfort zone when I decided to leave everybody I knew and move to London with no job, no friends and no money? Did I feel comfortable leaving a job I absolutely hated, with the risk of not finding any better work? Am I in my comfort zone when people from all over the world read my …

February Favourites

I’m starting to carve some sort of path out of what I want to do in life & February has been the month I feel like i’ve made real progress… Anywho, over sharing aside, lets talk about all the things i’ve …

O.O.T.D Pretty in Pink

~ Jumper (similar) | dungaree dress | tights | shoes ~ Finally the coldest part of winter is over! It can only be onwards and upwards from here… It’s so great that I can finally shed a few layers after what seemed like the coldest winter we’ve had. I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up because, this is England, weather changes at the snap of your fingers but hey-ho. That gives us more of an excuse to make the most of it! Anyway, the wonderful Izzy & I took to the streets of West London on an Instagram mission basically, we both love photography so we took our cameras with us and starting snapping. It’s so nice being with someone who loves photography as much as me… …But lets get into my outfit, can I start by telling you how much i’ve reaally missed wearing tights! I’d forgotten how comfy they are. Definitely gonna ditch my black denim for more skirt & tight combos. This dungaree dress is a whole new thing for me too, i’ve …

5 Ways To Practice Self-Love

Happy Valentines Day! What better day to share with you some advice on self love?! Practising self-love is actually a very simple concept that I don’t think was properly wired into our brains. Everyday we put others first and look for acceptance from the people around us but never from ourselves. Self-love is not about being a narcissist or self-absorbed, it’s about our well-being, happiness and being in check with ourselves. So here are 5 tips to help start off your good, self-loving habits… 1. Eat well and love what you eat Fuel yourself with nutritious food and your body will thank you. Be intentional about what you put into your body, not because you want to look good, but because you want to feel good too! Try to cut out all the processed foods and stick to healthy proteins, fats and lots of vitamins and minerals. I do allow myself to eat sweet things occasionally, If I ever had to give up chocolate I’d be an extremely sad person! “Our bodies are our gardens …
