The Perfect Nude Lipstick

Tie Choker – Topshop | Top (same shape, I think the blue is sold out) – Topshop | Lipstick – Too Faced I’ve finally found my perfect nude! The thing I love most about wearing a nude lipstick is that it looks so simple and sometimes even undetectable but can make a massive impact on your overall look. For example nude tones tend to really bring out my blue eyes and make my teeth look super white! What I’m wearing in the above photo is by Too Faced, Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Child Star. It’s described as a soft matte nude and I would say it has slight orangey pink undertones. As you can see I have super pale skin, so lots of nudes in the past have come up very dark or too brown on me. But this is one of the first shades I actually feel comfortable wearing. The formula goes on like a lipgloss and then dries matte. I would say it can feel a little sticky during the …

My Everyday Make-Up Look

So I’m going to let you in on a bit of a secret… I have a love/hate relationship with make-up. Lets start with the positive, I love make-up because it has the ability to transform your mood, outfit and overall look. It can instantly make you look and feel powerful, beautiful and more awake. I know for certain when I’m wearing a dark lip I feel pretty bad-ass. It also helps me massively with my rosacea and my monthly outbreak of spots (patiently waiting for my skin to calm down). But, with most things, there are cons. When I’m getting ready for work and just can’t be bothered to wear make-up and feel kind of confident in my skin.. I know that if I were to actually step out the door with a bare face I would get the usual questions like ‘Oh are you feeling ok?’ or ‘Wow you look tired!’. Which I’m sure a lot of you girls out there have experienced. I’m here to tell you it’s ok to go without make-up! People may …

My Daily Skin Care Routine

rose water | pai cleanser | konnyaku sponge (similar) | good genes by sunday riley | witch hazel Perfecting ones skin care routine is honestly a lot of hard work. From my early teens I’ve been testing all sorts of lotions and potions not knowing that puberty was a b***h and that I was just gonna have to wait it out. When I hit 16 however, it started to settle down and thats when I really started learning about my skin. My skin is sensitive. Oh so sensitive to anything. Sunlight, harsh winds, Alcohol, A hot bath, you name it. It probably affects my skin. Only in the past year have I been using products that treat Rosacea… ‘A condition in which certain facial blood vessels enlarge, giving the cheeks and nose a flushed appearance.’ Obviously it affects everyone differently. It’s actually a very common condition and you may not realise you have it which is great! Essentially its just someone with very pink cheeks. Before I started practicing a proper skin care routine you could …

My Bath Time Essentials

aesop body cleanser | himalayan salts | baths bomb | epsom salts | essential oils | candle holder | felt soap (similar) I love a good soak. There is nothing quite like sinking into a warm bath after a hard days work. Sometimes showers just don’t cut it for me. I need to spend an hour or too in the bath as it’s like my ‘zen’ time. A place I can totally chill out and forget about the world for a little bit. So saying that you’ve probably guessed I love my body products. Bubbles, bath bombs, salts and scrubs. I love them all. I’m not too fussed over make-up but give me something I can use in the bath and I’ll love you forever! I chose to steer away from Lush products in this post because they are ever so popular and I wanted to show you some great alternatives. Although don’t worry, when the winter months approach I will be sure to pop in and pick up some of my faves I can’t not share …
