Glossier NYC Showroom and Haul

Since I first set foot on American soil, I knew that I needed to visit Glossier… The showroom is set in a Penthouse on Lafayette Street. While there’s hustle and bustle on the streets below, up above there’s a skin-care haven (with air-con) just waiting to be explored… Starting off as an online-only brand, seeing the products in real-life was so exciting! Everything in store is to be tried and tested… Once you’ve decided what you would like, ask one of the reps to write down your order and then take it to over to the cashiers who will pick out your products from their teeny stock room! The showroom itself is immaculate and it was like being in my dream apartment. The staff were super friendly too, they’re the type that will help if you need it, but won’t bother you or pressure you into buying anything. Love! Now, onto the Haul! Milky Jelly Cleanser I’m super intrigued to try this as I’ve heard really great reviews! You use it as a make-up remover …

Bedside Table Beauty

bedding (on sale!) | jewellery box | gold tray | hand cream | Kindle cover | bucket list notebook (gift!) Keeping skin-care essentials on my bedside has been a great way to remind myself to keep on top of my routine… As I’m sure some of you reading this have made similar promises to yourself like, moisturise, work out & drink more water. The first month of the new year we’re always so strict on ourselves and I think this time for me, I’ve found one trick on how to keep my promise and get used to applying my skin-care products. Just having them by my side before bed has helped wonders as they’re always in arms reach, not tucked up in a draw somewhere. Anyway, here are the products I’ve been using recently.. Lancome Galateis Douceur – This creamy cleaner is oh so gentle on my skin, I also use it to remove make-up. Simply apply to a cotton pad and wipe away. I love this because you don’t have to wash it off, you can let it sink into …

Lush Cosmetics Recent Buys

Every now and then I like to splurge on products that will add that extra something to my morning/evening routine… For me, Lush is the only place I really feel like going when I want to find something different and out of the ordinary, so I decided to go and treat myself to some new products as my bathroom cupboard has seen better days and is looking awfully bare after Christmas. Usually, January is the month I take time to reflect on the past year but also really pamper myself and get ready for the busy months ahead, so of course a revamp of your skin-care and bath products is totally acceptable… Lets take a look at the products… Lush Bath Oils Floating Island I’ve actually tried this one before and it’s easily one of my favourite bath oils. It makes my skin feel unbelievably smooth! The main properties are shea butter, vanilla, sandalwood & lemon. Would highly recommend if you like vanilla-ry scents. Flowers Barrow I chose this as I was immediately drawn to …

I’m still learning what’s the best way to photograph & write make-up related posts. I’m still super camera shy, Hence the silly photo at the end to break things up a bit.  I’m not really enjoying my full face in HD online, but I’m still going ahead with posts like these as it’s pushing my …

The Perfect Nude Lipstick

Tie Choker – Topshop | Top (same shape, I think the blue is sold out) – Topshop | Lipstick – Too Faced I’ve finally found my perfect nude lipstick! The thing I love most about wearing a nude lipstick is that it looks so simple and sometimes even undetectable but can make a massive impact on your overall look. For example nude tones tend to really bring out my blue eyes and make my teeth look super white! What I’m wearing in the above photo is by Too Faced, Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Child Star. It’s described as a soft matte nude and I would say it has slight orangey pink undertones. As you can see I have super pale skin, so lots of nudes in the past have come up very dark or too brown on me. But this is one of the first shades I actually feel comfortable wearing. The formula goes on like a lip gloss and then dries matte. I would say it can feel a little sticky …
