Glossier NYC Showroom and Haul

Since I first set foot on American soil, I knew that I needed to visit Glossier…

The showroom is set in a Penthouse on Lafayette Street. While there’s hustle and bustle on the streets below, up above there’s a skin-care haven (with air-con) just waiting to be explored…

Starting off as an online-only brand, seeing the products in real-life was so exciting! Everything in store is to be tried and tested…

Once you’ve decided what you would like, ask one of the reps to write down your order and then take it to over to the cashiers who will pick out your products from their teeny stock room!

The showroom itself is immaculate and it was like being in my dream apartment. The staff were super friendly too, they’re the type that will help if you need it, but won’t bother you or pressure you into buying anything. Love!

Now, onto the Haul!

Milky Jelly Cleanser

I’m super intrigued to try this as I’ve heard really great reviews! You use it as a make-up remover or cleanser and it’s supposed to be super gentle. It also smells like roses which is one of my favourite scents for skin-care!

Boy Brow Gel

One of their best sellers… I’m all about having natural looking brows, unfortunately mine are pale and blonde so I can never fully achieve a natural, bushy, dark brow. However, now that I own the Boy Brow Gel (in shade brown) I can cut back on getting them coloured.

The following two are actually gifts for a friend (don’t worry I’m not ruining the surprise :D)

Cloud Paint in Dusk

The blush of your dreams! Described as a pillowy, gel-cream formula is designed to be the most user-friendly cheek-colour in existence. Kind of wish I’d bought this for myself too.

Haloscope in Quartz

Haloscope is a dewy effect Highlighter that has an outer halo infused with genuine crystal extracts and a solid oil core full of vitamin-rich moisturisers. This sounds amazing and can’t wait to see what it looks like!

Invisible Shield

One of the main reasons I wanted to visit Glossier was because of this product. A clear water-gel sunscreen that protects from the sun, pollution and ageing skin. It’s SPF 35 and can be worn over or under make-up. To be honest, before I discovered Invisible Shield I didn’t even know the sun causes 90% of skin ageing. I’m grateful Glossier have educated me as well as create a product that is genuinely going to help people’s skin. Even if I don’t use this product for the rest of my life, Glossier have opened my eyes to the world of sunscreen and I should be wearing it every-day.

~

You must visit Glossier if you get the chance! I’m hoping one day that they decide to ship over to the U.K so I can eventually restock!
