My life has completely taken a new turn during October…
…My stay in South London is coming to an end so I’ve been planning on moving house again. Moving flats frequently hasn’t been uncommon for me in London (this will be my 4th move so far) but I am determined to stay put for at least 8 months at my next place. I want to say a year but I really can’t predict what’s going to happen at this point. I’ve also been working crazy hours and had to put blogging on hold for a week and I’m hoping you can forgive me for that.
Despite all the chaos, the items I’ve included in my October favourites have managed to keep me sane and have brought joy into my life whilst everything is up in the air.
I used to keep a planner every year and it not only helped me manage my time, it also reminded me of all the great things I had done in the year. So I want to get back into it. Rifle Paper do some beautiful stationary and I’m so glad I picked this up. With week by week pages it makes planning easy peasy.
I want to road trip America, relax on white, sandy beaches & live cheap in Asia but planning a big trip away can be difficult if you don’t have Lonely Planet as your guide. Travelling the globe is definitely on the cards for me next year and I want to learn as much as I can before I set off.
The packaging, the colours, the price! I love everything about this palette. It includes two cream highlighters and two pressed powders which work great together. As I’m not someone who likes to go full glam everyday I can’t wait to use this for all the upcoming Christmas & New Year parties.
I don’t really have much to say on this apart from the fact, I really don’t need another make-up bag in my life. But this one caught my eye, as they always do and I love it.
Mix equal parts clay and apple cider vinegar and you have yourself an incredible face mask. I’ve tried and tested it and I love it. I tend to leave it on for a 1/2 hour until it’s dry as a bone then wash off with a warm cloth & my skin instantly feels unbelievably soft.
Yes I’m trying to get into contouring. Don’t worry I’m not gonna go overboard just a little sculpting of the cheekbones and thats it. So I set my eyes on a high street brand and Sleek seem to have all my highlight and contour dreams answered. Easy to use and suitable shades for my pale skin. I highly recommend!
A great little camera with a lot of power. I bought this with travel and vlogging in mind (two things I really want to do in the future). I chose this against its competitor the Canon G7x for its 100fps which means it films great slow-mo, the colour it produces & the electronic view-finder which comes in so handy when outdoors. Overall a great investment if you’re just getting into photography or video and don’t want to lug around a huge SLR!
I hope you enjoyed this post & come back to see what I’m loving next month! What were your favourite things in October?
