So I’m going to let you in on a bit of a secret… I have a love/hate relationship with make-up.
Lets start with the positive, I love make-up because it has the ability to transform your mood, outfit and overall look. It can instantly make you look and feel powerful, beautiful and more awake. I know for certain when I’m wearing a dark lip I feel pretty bad-ass. It also helps me massively with my rosacea and my monthly outbreak of spots (patiently waiting for my skin to calm down).
But, with most things, there are cons. When I’m getting ready for work and just can’t be bothered to wear make-up and feel kind of confident in my skin.. I know that if I were to actually step out the door with a bare face I would get the usual questions like ‘Oh are you feeling ok?’ or ‘Wow you look tired!’. Which I’m sure a lot of you girls out there have experienced. I’m here to tell you it’s ok to go without make-up! People may judge, but you can’t think about them because, the feeling of being able to wash your face in the middle of the day without smudging mascara down your face is tooo good.
My everyday look is pretty natural, my aim is to make people think my skin is naturally this fabulous (I wish) and that I actually have eyebrows…. The struggles of having celtic skin are real.
So if you’re not quite ready to go bare-faced, this look is perfect for you.
I use a maximum of 7 products.
Before I start with make-up I use a lip balm from Lush Cosmetics called whipstick which smells like cocoa butter. It’s amazing!!
So first I use Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to cover those bags and blue circles in the corner of my eye and also any blemishes I may have.
I move on to my brows where I use a Manga Brows double ended pencil to fill in the gaps when I’m waiting to book an appointment to get them threaded and dyed. Which I highly recommend btw. It saves so much time!
Now onto my eyes, where I draw along my lash line with the Pastello brown eye pencil to add a little depth to my lashes, then I use BabyDoll mascara by YSL to coat my lashes, avoiding the inner corners and just coating the end lashes.
and that’s it! Super quick and super easy. What kind of make-up do you wear daily? Do you enjoy wearing make-up everyday? Lets get the conversation rolling…
